The Interior Ministry has said that the summary of deploying the army under Article 245 of the Constitution has been sent to the Federal Cabinet for final approval.

The four provincial governments have sent a requisition to the Home Ministry to deploy troops in the flood-affected areas.

Interior Minister Rana Sanaullah said that under Article 245 of the Constitution, forces are being deployed to help the civilian government in relief and rescue operations.

"The army is being deployed in the flood-affected areas of the four provinces."

He said that Punjab, Dera Ghazi District, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Dera Ismail Khan, Balochistan, Naseerabad, Jhal Magsi, Sahabatpur, Jafarabad, Lasbela and Sindh have sent a requisition to the Interior Ministry to deploy troops in the flood-affected areas. .
